About Stephanie
What inspired your decision to join the real estate industry and what excites you about your career?
I was looking for a rewarding and challenging career; Sounds very cliché however I had wanted to get into the real estate industry for a while. I love that no two days in this job are the same and I learn something new every single day!
I started in this office over 5 years ago as a leasing consultant, moved on to Property Management, Department Manager, Business Development and currently working in the Sales Department – that sort of experience in each field cannot be bought and has been fantastic to be a part of all facets of the business.
I am very thankful to have Richard and Julie as the Principals of Professionals Cairns Beaches – they have taught me everything there is to know about the business and have supported me throughout my career. Nothing is ever too hard, and they will do whatever it takes succeed, I have every confidence in their abilities and professionalism.
What is a brief summary of your working history?
I joined the team here at Professionals Cairns Beaches back in 2015, previous to that I started working in Hospitality at the age of 13. I began as a caterer for events and functions and moved on to working in local cafes and the local pub. I left South Australia at age 20 and started working my way around Australia, getting jobs quickly in Hospitality wherever I ended up however when I arrived in Cairns, I knew it was where I wanted to be!
Where did you grow up and why do you now choose to live in Cairns?
I grew up in South Australia and have been in Cairns for the past 8 years with my partner Chris. Growing up in Adelaide was fantastic, coastal living meets wine vineyards and rolling hills – even with 2 million people, it was like a big country town, everyone knew everyone, it was great. I think that’s why we love Cairns so much – it has that community based, regional town feeling that we loved about S.A. but with better weather! What’s not to love – Great Barrier Reef on your doorstep, rainforest, coastal towns, friendly, familiar faces – it really is a stunning place to call home!
What are your hobbies and interests?
I love my job – otherwise, I enjoy anything outdoors – swimming, bike riding, hiking, walking our dogs, I love seeing my girlfriends and hitting up our local F45 for a good workout. I also enjoy watching Geelong and the Dragons and taking 5 in backyard, eating good food. Being a Libran – life’s all about balance!
