Every year we support NBCF by hosting a golf day at the lovely Joondalup Resort. It sells out within a fortnight and is supported extremely well by both our members and our sponsors. This year was no different and we can only attribute the success of the day and the event to both of those groups…without them, there is no golf day.
The day starts out with an arrival bag including a hat and pink polo shirt, then its off for a sausage in a bun and a cool drink to hear the address and arrival messages. The crowd gathers for a group photo before heading out in the carts for the shotgun start and a full day on the golf course.
After a shower and a tally of the score cards, we all head over to the resort to swap tales of birdies, eagles and more commonly…bogies. The dinner is preceded by some fund raising for our charity of choice by way of silent and loud auctions then some entertainment kicks in around desert time. Peter Dee had us all in stitches until the final bell when our wallets were empty but our sense of contribution for a great cause very full.
