Professionals Real Estate Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Bill Atkinson to the newly created position of Operations and Inline Media Manager.
Bill has been most recently employed at Sobox, a social and online media company providing specialist marketing services to the real estate industry. Adding to his profound knowledge of the industry and in particular inline media, Bill has also been employed for several years at realestate.com.au and has more than 15 years experience in the real estate industry.
David Hobbs, CEO of Professionals Real Estate Group, said that he was delighted to appoint Bill to the new position of Operations and Inline Media Manager.
“Bill has a strong background in the real estate industry and has worked in sales at a senior level for a number of years. More recently he has been involved in taking advantage of the growing internet opportunities for the real estate industry particularly through social and inline media. In particular, Bill has a very good understanding of the new digital landscape, from best practice marketing methods on portals to maximising value from websites, including the use of Inline media and blogging sites. Professionals believe that Inline media will revolutionise the way in which the real estate industry does business and that is why we are investing heavily in this emerging marketing tool. For example, over the coming months Professionals will spend more than $200,000 on inline media including online training and harnessing mobile technology. In addition, Bill will use his expertise on Internet technology to improve the services our group can provide online such as online tours for properties and website design and utilisation. It is estimated for example, that over 70% of consumers want to use online tours to market their homes but only 1% of real estate agents can provide this service. Bill will also be involved in improving the overall operations of the group and one of his immediate tasks will be to implement a quality assessment programme to benchmark the services offered by our offices and then set in place a strategy to further upgrade them,” Mr Hobbs said.
