For Brendon Nowotny, switching to a real estate brand that has over 40 years of exposure in Albany, Western Australia was a no-brainer.
With over 25 years’ experience in the industry, Mr. Nowotny is no stranger to the Professionals brand, having been a sales agent with the previous office before moving out on his own as an Independent.
When opening their doors on Monday 4th July, the team will be replacing an existing Professionals office, run by one of the founding members of Professionals in Western Australia, Principal Doug Pearson.
“I love what I do and always enjoyed my time with Professionals as a sales agent working under Doug. I have since worked with other brands, but they just didn’t carry the same values and family atmosphere that you get with the Professionals network”.
Albany, known for being a farming hub is fast becoming a retreat for city dwellers with many deciding to make the regional move.
“The farming industry in Albany is a large part of the economic viability of the town but residential building and construction is increasing with the amount of younger people moving in”, Mr Nowotny said.
The combination of regional market conditions along with the influx of new dwellings has provided steady and reliable growth in both sales and property management. Mr Nowotny said, “Since 2010 we have been pretty steady but since 2020, house prices and the number of properties changing hands has been off the scales.”
“People are talking about it slowing down with inflation and the rise of interest rates, but when you have a 1.9% – 2% mortgage, an increase of one percent isn’t going to rock the boat too much”.
When asked what Mr Nowotny’s view of the future was he said:
“To be honest, what I am most looking forward to in the future is being able to introduce myself as Brendon from Professionals. The brand just has so much respect within our community and I’m proud I can carry that on”.
