Long-time Sydney realtor Marian Hart has joined the Professionals network, making a move into new premises at Marrickville to capitalise on rising opportunities for her business in the city’s inner west.
Ms Hart, who formerly operated under the Century 21 banner in Marrickville Road and prior to that had an independent agency for many years, now heads Professionals Marrickville, trading as Professionals Forbes Group.
The new office, located at Shop 1 & 2, 392-396 Illawarra Road, is in an area that Ms Hart said was better positioned to help expand her business.
“We’re starting afresh with the Professionals network, so it made sense for us to move our entire team to a newly rejuvenated area of Marrickville,” said Ms Hart.
“It’s a more active location that is benefitting from urban renewal and an emerging café culture.”
Ms Hart has transitioned her entire team, comprising seven staff including a dedicated commercial and strata manager, to the new location.
With 38 years’ experience in the real estate industry, Ms Hart oversees an office with a comprehensive range of services, including residential and commercial sales and management, strata-title management and project marketing.
Ms Hart has extensive experience in off-the-plan sales and while she concedes the market is competitive, she plans on improving market share in this field.
The strata management business operates through a sister company, leveraging off Ms Hart’s extensive experience as a licensed strata agent.
“The main business focus for now will be to grow our sales and we are planning to utilise the resources of the Professionals to enhance the skills of our team in that area,” she said.
“All staff have property management experience behind them so we’re looking forward to bolstering our sales division even further.”
Ms Hart said while the market remained challenging, there had been a raft of inquiries from first-home buyers and owner-occupiers recently.
“Low interest rates are helping this sector and so are new government incentives. This has led to buyers now looking at homes in a higher price range from $800,000 to $900,000.”
Ms Hart said the Professionals network has been immensely supportive in her transition to the network.
