One of Adelaide’s most innovative independent real estate agencies has joined the Professionals network, putting the business firmly on track to cater for growing demand in the north-eastern suburbs.
Ricky Nieuwenhoven, the director of Professionals Modbury, had previously operated an independent agency for six years under his Nieuvision banner with a diverse service offering including a dedicated finance division.
Professionals Modbury currently employs five traditional real estate agents, as well as a first-home-buyer and investor specialist.
“The depth of experience we have now really has created a formidable team for us to service the north-east region,” said Mr Nieuwenhoven.
“We even have our own full-time digital marketing director to ensure our clients get the best social media exposure possible, generating high exposure and increasing their chance of selling.”
The agency is also expanding its property management division to a staff of three, after more than tripling its rental roll to 300 as part of the transition to the Professionals network.
Mr Nieuwenhoven, who holds degrees in accounting, economics, education, financial planning and mortgage broking, has been in business in the Modbury region for the past 15 years.
“I grew up in this area and I am quite passionate about it, so it’s exciting for us to be expanding our real estate base through the Professionals network,” he said.
“It opens the door for us to more readily attract a calibre of agents who understand the industry and can meet the needs of a growing client network.
“We offer a specific first-home-buyer program to educate clients about buying new or existing properties and the pros and cons that come with each decision,” said Mr Nieuwenhoven.
“We work as an advocate for them to ensure that they are making the right decision for themselves, and we do the same for investors as well.
“Among the innovations we have introduced, are our own trend analysis techniques using social media tools to ascertain increasing and decreasing demand in specific locations.”
With a strong accounting background and interests in a range of industries, Mr Nieuwenhoven is not a typical real estate director. He is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, sits on the Board of the Finance Brokers Association of Australia and is a member of the not-for-profit Entrepreneurs’ Organisation.
