New BIS residential property report prospects 2012 to 2015
The new BIS Residential Property Report prospects 2012 to 2015 says after 15 years of solid growth, prices can’t go up at double digit rates. But like all good investments, investors will begin to factor in rental yields rather than just capital growth. This has always been a selective market; you’ll just have to be a lot more selective with your buying.
BIS are correct with one thing and that is you should be selective when it comes to the property investment, whether you are chasing growth or rental return. But I hesitate when it comes to predicting ‘prices can’t go up at double digit rates over the next 15 years’.
I am not saying they will but I have no doubt there will be suburbs in all states that will enjoy double digit growth over the next 10-15 years, that’s why property over a long term has been a great investment for many.
