Professionals real estate is celebrating its expansion into the famed wine region of the Hunter Valley as it bolsters its presence in regional NSW.
The network’s latest move into the historic wine and tourism district will be headed by principal Sean Lewis, a real estate industry specialist, and his business partner Peta Wilkinson.
The Hunter Valley, 200km northwest of Sydney, is undergoing a housing boom led by the development of Huntlee, the first town built in the region in more than 50 years.
“The market across the Hunter Valley is hot with huge growth particularly surrounding the masterplanned Huntlee,’’ Mr Lewis said.
“Buyers are moving out from Sydney to the Hunter for more affordable housing with prices starting around $800,000 for a new home on larger blocks, supported by the region’s strong economy.
“It’s been my goal to bring the Professionals brand to the Hunter Valley.
“Growing up in Sydney, I remember Mum and Dad buying their home through Professionals. When I was looking for a new opportunity in this area, I realised there was a gap in the market so now there’s Professionals Hunter Valley.
“I love the property industry and helping people find their dream home. I bought my first home in 1995 and set about its renovation and since then I’ve been involved in property in some shape or form.’’
Mr Lewis served as an engineer in the Royal Australian Navy before discovering a passion for real estate.
The Hunter Valley’s charms became apparent when he moved to the area as a student, and he returned in 2010 to settle permanently. Soon after he began selling house and land packages and launched his own group, Sean Lewis Properties.
