Professionals Real Estate last week celebrated excellence amongst its most successful principals during its three-day ‘Taste of Tassie’ PRO-Elite program held in Hobart.
PRO-Elite was established in 1986 to reward and recognise the highest achieving leaders across Professionals’ national network.
Sixty-seven participants from its Top 50 offices took part in opportunities to collaborate and network with other PRO-Elite alumni, hear from inspirational speakers during a series of masterclasses and enjoy the best of Tasmanian hospitality.
Professionals Chief Executive Officer Katherine Gonzalez-Cork said speakers at this year’s invite-only event focused on the key topics of succession planning and governance.
“Succession planning is an important issue for the majority of our offices as they develop strategies for their continued success and growth within the network, while strong governance is essential to guide Professionals’ processes, practices and policies,’’ Ms Gonzalez-Cork said.
“I congratulate all principals invited to attend PRO-Elite as it is a privilege and acknowledgement of their position as part of a very select group of industry innovators.
“PRO-Elite is one of the most sought-after annual experiences for our members. And Hobart did not disappoint, with its range of thoughtful speakers to amazing local foods and wines, a jet boat experience on the River Derwent and the Mona art museum.’’
Speakers specialising in succession planning, governance, leadership and wellbeing led the masterclasses, including Andrew Johnson, Managing Partner of AJ & Co Lawyers; Sonya Beyers, Director of Governance, a leading consultancy and advisory group; Luke Fenwick, experienced life and leadership coach; and Geoff Guelfi, Director of Western Australia’s highly successful Professionals Granger Clark office.
“The masterclass sessions are designed to support continued growth in the principals’ businesses while their learnings are fed back through the group,’’ Ms Gonzalez-Cork said.

Next year’s PRO-Elite will be held on Queensland’s Hayman Island.
