Experienced Darwin real estate agency owner Belinda Tonkin has switched her business to under the Professionals Group Australia banner.
Ms Tonkin, who set up her own agency in Darwin five years ago after starting her career in real estate for Professionals Alice Springs, and her team have opened the doors of the newly rebranded Professionals Darwin office at Harvey Street.
The former South Australian says she is excited about Darwin’s future and the future of the property market.
“The Darwin market has enjoyed quite a bit of boom in recent years, the rental market is extremely strong, and I don’t see that changing in the short term,’’ she said.
“A lot of interstate investors are now looking at buying in Darwin because of the rising interest rates.
“Our rental properties are still achieving yields of between six to eight percentage, which makes the area very attractive for investors.”
Ms Tonkin said there was no such thing as a “one size fits all” approach to selling real estate in the Top End because the buyers were so diverse.
“We have such a diverse culture and that is one of the many things I love about living in Darwin,’’ she said.
“Everybody has different needs and wants, which is good because I really enjoy helping people to achieve their property dreams.”
“I have had my own Brand for four years and I am now looking forward to growing further under the Professionals brand.
“I love taking about investments, properties, buying, selling and I’m always up for a call.”
