Independent real estate agency Real Estate Solutions Tamworth has joined the Professionals network, paving the way for a new era of growth for the office in a highly competitive local property market.
Led by husband-and-wife team Bill and Merridee Watson, Professionals Tamworth will build on their success of the past seven years which has seen the agency establish an enviable presence in residential and commercial sales and management.
“We’ve been immensely proud of what we have been able to achieve as an independent agency over such a short period,” said Mr Watson.
“Now, with the backing of the Professionals, we’re looking at leveraging off the group’s high-profile national and international brand to capitalise on emerging opportunities in our region.”
Professionals Tamworth will continue tapping into ongoing property demand from investors and lifestyle buyers, especially from Sydney.
The city, made famous by the annual Tamworth Country Music Festival, is also home to the world-class Australian Equine and Livestock Events Centre. Among the major employers in the region is the Baiada poultry processing plant.
“It’s a steady property market that offers plenty of opportunities for owner occupiers and investors, with new residential and industrial estates a strong drawcard,” said Mrs Watson.
Professionals Tamworth has an existing rent roll of more than 350 residential and commercial properties which the team plans to expand further.
“Brand recognition is a big part of the move and, with the Professionals name behind us, it will allow us to extend our reach to service a broader market,” said Mrs Watson.
“We’re looking to take the business to the next level with a stronger focus on sales across all areas of the market.”
Mrs Watson, with 17 years’ experience in the real estate industry in NSW and Queensland, is an agency principal overseeing property sales and property management. Mr Watson specialises in sales with a focus on commercial property.
Professionals Tamworth currently has a team of four located at 2/12A Bourke Street in the heart of Tamworth.
The Watsons are also looking forward to building on a collaborative team culture and utilising the extensive support offered by the Professionals network.
“We already have an inclusive team staff who do great work every day,” said Mrs Watson. “A lot of what we are doing now is for our staff. It will also help us attract more new talent to our team.”
Professionals Tamworth officially opened on August 2.
Professionals Real Estate group Chief Executive Officer David Crombie said it was a real pleasure to have the Watsons join the group.
“The Watsons’ decision to join the Professionals is a win-win for both their operation and the larger network,’’ said Mr Crombie.
“It is a pleasure to have such an experienced and ethical team join the network and we looked forward to helping them to grow and prosper in the Tamworth region.”
