Independent Perth agency owner Wayne Carroll has taken the next step in his bold journey into the real estate industry by joining the Professionals network.
After 33 years in the hospitality industry managing hotels and resorts across Australia, Mr Carroll ventured into real estate two-and-a-half years ago under his own brand, First Alliance Property Group.
The early success of the business, which included the sale of the award-winning Secret Harbour Golf Links last year, has led him to take a broader view of the direction of his business leading to a move to align with Australia’s fastest-growing real estate network.
Mr Carroll has launched Professionals First Alliance Property Group, with his new office to continue to grow from its current location at 1/99 Caridean Street in Heathridge.
“The moment I decided to take a new career path, I knew I wanted to be my own boss,” said Mr Carroll.
“I’ve had a great run as an independent, building the business from scratch, including a growing commercial and residential rent roll.
“Now, by aligning myself with the Professionals brand, it gives us a much higher profile with a name that the market knows and trusts.
“The beauty of the Professionals is that they afford me the flexibility to run the business the way I have always done. Joining the Professionals is another spoke to the wheel of the business because it will help me generate more leads. Brand recognition is an important part of that process.”
Despite the bold career shift for Mr Carroll, the success of his agency demonstrates a synergy between hospitality and real estate.
“Both industries are very much focused on building relationships with clients, so my background has helped me a great deal to develop my business to the position we are at now. I am very passionate about assisting people to achieve their goals.
“When I started out, I wanted to be known as the hotel specialist, but now I see so many more opportunities in the residential market in and around Heathridge.”
Mr Carroll says the Perth market has had a dramatic turnaround since he first ventured into the industry.
“We’ve seen some very strong price growth in Heathridge area over the past year alone, and that has been largely driven by local buyers.
“A lot of mining companies are encouraging FIFO workers to relocate to WA to overcome the ongoing issues they have over border lockdowns.
“I believe that once international borders open, we’ll be inundated with people who will want to live here in Perth and in Australia generally.”
