Professionals Group Australia is pushing ahead with its focus on agency growth within the state of Queensland with the appointment of a new business development specialist, adding to the existing National business development team.
Professionals Group Australia has added five new offices in the past three months, with Professionals Chief Executive David Crombie saying the network’s growth during the real estate boom showed the attractiveness of the Professionals offering.
The network has now appointed Matthew Shepherd as its Queensland Business Development Executive.
Mr Shepherd has previously held corporate roles with Raine & Horne and Elders as well as being an agency principal. In his most recent role, he was the Head of Sales & Partnerships for Property TV, a streaming platform for the property industry.
Mr Shepherd said his immediate goal was to establish strong relationships with the existing members in the Professionals Group while continuing the group’s focus on agency growth.
“It is a real pleasure to have joined to group that is growing strongly when other networks around Australia are seeing a decline,’’ he said.
Professionals Group Australia, which was founded by six independent real estate agents in Queensland in 1976, now has more than 230 agencies under its banner and is among the top 10 largest real estate networks in the country.
Mr Crombie said Professionals Group Australia continues to grow its agency network on the back of the level of service and support being offered to offices nationally on a monthly flat fee structure.
“Unlike other networks, the Professionals Group does not serve the financial interests of a master franchisor, but rather it operates to serve the interests of its offices,’’ he said.
“We offer Professionals offices a strong and recognisable brand, excellent marketing tools and a uniquely supportive network at a much more effective cost than seen by typical franchises.
