Long-established real estate agency Professionals Nowra has expanded its footprint in the local property market following the acquisition of competitor First National Real Estate Nowra.
The buyout brings together the expertise of two of Nowra’s oldest property agencies that boast a combined 70-plus years of service to the local property market.
It also more than doubles the team servicing Professionals Nowra which was established in 1975 by Clyde Poulton as a small independent agency, joining the Professionals network almost a decade ago.
The expanded group, which will operate from the former First National office in a high-profile site at 68 North Street in Nowra’s CBD, has a team of 12 property professionals servicing residential and commercial property sales and management.
Notably, Professionals Nowra has expanded its property management team thanks to a fourfold increase in the agency’s rent roll.
“The combined strength of two of the longest serving brands in Nowra joining forces brings many benefits to our clients and our staff,” said agency principal Karl Poulton.
“We do business in a similar way and we’ve been fortunate to have retained key personnel, particularly in the property management team, for a seamless transition of services for existing and new clients.
“Through the Professionals network we are well supported by highly efficient systems that allow us to provide more customer services and better outcomes for all our clients.”
Mr Poulton describes the acquisition as a stepping-stone for future growth for the Professionals office amid the ongoing strength of the property market in Nowra.
“We have bigger premises with room to expand further, and that’s vital in a dynamic market like Nowra,” he said.
“It’s been a very resilient market, and we haven’t really seen much of a bump from COVID-19.
“Nowra has always been popular with residents of south-west Sydney and Cronulla looking to relocate to the Shoalhaven region for a sea change or to retire.
“However, since the beginning of this year we’ve experienced a surge in first-home buyers, more than I’ve seen for the past five years.
“Affordability has been one of our strengths. We’re a big regional town serviced by good hospitals and supported by Navy jobs and excellent road infrastructure, so this is a town that’s growing.”
Professionals Nowra officially opened its new office at 68 North Street on August 14. The team can be contacted on (02) 4421 2644.
