An experienced Sunshine Coast real estate professional with an appetite for expansion has hit the ground running in 2019 under the banner of one of Australia’s largest real estate groups.
Roy Philpott has joined the Professionals network, rebranding his Kings Beach office as Professionals on the Coast Realty and laying plans to build on his dedicated team of four staff members in the coming year to service the booming Sunshine Coast region.
“There’s a lot happening on the Sunshine Coast at the moment; it’s growing rapidly and we’re ready to grow with it through the support of the Professional group,” he said.
Professionals CEO David Crombie has welcomed the agency to the network.
“The Sunshine Coast is a growing market and we are looking to increase our presence in the area,” said Mr Crombie.
“I believe the addition of Professionals on the Coast Reality to our network will help further build our brand presence in the region.”
Mr Philpott has more than 30 years’ experience in the real estate industry. Over the past 18 months he had operated his Sunshine Coast real estate agency under an independent banner.
“I worked with Professionals many years ago so I know the brand well and I like it a lot because it’s a network rather than a franchise,” he said.
“That means the agency principals themselves have a say in how their business operates and we’ve already seen the benefits of this after just a few short weeks.
“Being part of the Professionals network gives our sales and property management team the kind of support that was previously unavailable to us as an independent agency.”
Professionals on the Coast Realty has already secured two new Sunshine Coast property listings thanks to network member referrals from as far afield as Cairns and Adelaide.
“Not only does the Professionals network provide us with access to a broader range of buyers across the group, but also sellers,” said Mr Philpott.
“This is the quality of support that is central to our plans to grow the business and improve the quality of services that we offer.”
Mr Philpott said after a solid sales period over December, the Sunshine Coast property market has been ticking along nicely into the new year.
“The rental market has been very strong. We’re averaging about 12 inquiries a week for rental properties and we’re always looking for more to add to our books to meet that demand.”
Mr Philpott is also expecting the interstate buyer trend to prevail on the Sunshine Coast well into 2019.
“Many of our interstate buyers are relocating to the Sunshine Coast for lifestyle reasons, but there are more jobs here as well, including opportunities at the new hospital, which is bringing a broad range of buyers and renters to the region.”
Professionals on the Coast Realty, which Is located at 36 Esplanade Headland, Kings Beach, officially launched on January 7.
