The team Methven Professionals Mooroolbark are celebrating after being named the Large Residential Agency of the Year at the REIV Excellence Awards for the second year in a row.
Methven Professionals Mooroolbark is headed by father Geoff Earney and his sons Greg and Brent.
Geoff Earney said the agency was established in 1962 and had been operated by the Earney family since 1968.
“We now have four offices, with our Mooroolbark office now having 50 team members and across the group we have just under 90 team members,’’ he said.
“We average around 600 sales a year with our customer satisfaction rating running at 96.2 per cent.”
He said he was thrilled to win the award for the second year in a row.
Mr Earney said the agency had always strived to be an industry leader.
“We are always pioneering the use of new technologies and new methods in our efforts to deliver the best possible service for our clients,’’ he said.
“We have a full-time videographer working in the business and we also offer a concierge service, where one team member’s entire role is to simply help buyers and sellers after the sales contracts have been signed.
“The concierge service is now an important part of our commitment to better quality service.
“Their role is to remain in contact with the buyers and sellers after the contract has been signed to make sure all their queries are answered.
“We make sure we survey every customer in relation to their satisfaction levels and if the result is anything lower than an eight, we call them to find out where we could have improved.”
Mr Earney said he believed the award win was recognition of company’s commitment to its clients.
“Our motto is ‘Always acting in the best interest of the client’,” he said. “We take a very long-term view of the business and we know that by looking after our clients, our staff, and our community that our business will continue to grow and thrive.
“We are very proud of our 96.2 per cent satisfaction rating and we are always looking for ways we can improve.”
Mr Earney confirmed the market had slowed but there were still plenty of buyers and sellers in the market.
“We are never really worried about slower markets because in a slower market it is more important to enlist the help of the best agents in the market,’’ he said.
“From a sellers’ point of view, a weaker market can offer an opportunity because it offers the chance to upgrade for less.
“As long as you are buying and selling in the same market, you can’t go too far wrong.”
