Professionals Members all over Australia have come together to aid their offices impacted by Tropical Cyclone Debbie.
Professionals offices along the Eastern coastline, from Bowen in Northern Queensland to Lismore in New South Wales, have endured not only the destructive force of the storm itself but also the aftermath including, fallen trees, structural damage, flooding and loss of property as well as loss of business.
A Go Fund Me page has raised $5820 to be distributed to the offices in need while Professionals Members also made further private donations and volunteered to help their fellow Professionals.
Sharon Dowling, Principal of Professionals Real Estate Lismore, whose office was heavily impacted by the cyclone has expressed her gratitude to those who donated via Go Fund Me, sent office supplies and volunteered to assist saying, “I cannot thank you all enough”.
The unity among the Professionals Members is not surprising considering the close-knit culture of the group as a network of offices who view each other as not only colleagues but as family.
“True character comes to the surface during times of challenge and the way our group rallied to support those Members in need, was truly inspiring. There were offers from both sides of the country and New Zealand to fly in and to give a helping hand. Being mostly an Australian and New Zealand brand, the ANZAC spirit runs through our veins and is aligned to the culture of our group”.
The Professionals’ core value “together we create meaningful impact” again highlights the company’s focus on making a real difference to peoples’ lives by working together.
“Although we are not as big as the other major Franchises, we do punch above our weight through our “one team” approach, which has a positive impact not only on our membership but also on the wider community”. CEO of Professionals Shane Kempton
