Well, thanks to the advancement of technology, a new mobile application named ‘StaySafe’ has been designed to provide an extra layer of security for anyone who spends a lot of time on the road.
Attacks on reale state agents is sadly becoming all too common and safety concerns were brought to light earlier this year after the death of real estate agent in America. Thankfully, new innovations such as StaySafe are being rolled out by various businesses to keep their workforce safe. Professionals Real Estate is the first agency in Australia to roll out the technology in the real estate industry.
How does StaySafe work?
StaySafe works on a mobile device, such as a smart phone, it requires the employee to simply download the application from their relevant app store. Once installed, the app monitors the movement of each employee and can be used to trigger alerts and ensure their safety at all times. For example, if a real estate agent fails to check-in after a business meeting, travel plan or work session using StaySafe, an automatic notification is set to the main hub. The hub is monitored and relevant actions will be made based on the type of alert received.
Panic alerts
StaySafe offers our staff added security with the use of ‘panic alerts’ which can be triggered in the event of an emergency situation. For example, if an employee is being attacked, by entering a false pin will send an alert to the hub. If an employee has remained static for a certain period of time (perhaps due to an injury or fall), an alert will be triggered. StaySafe provides several other features including alerts for when the Realtor’s battery is low reminding them to recharge.
Ensuring the safety of real estate agents who regularly travel out of office is greatly over looked in the real estate industry, costs associated are usually too high and resources are over stretched.
