Three female members of Professionals Real Estate Group won a number of prestigious awards at REIWA’s 2011 Annual Awards for Excellence which was held on Wednesday evening at the Matilda Bay Restaurant.
The REIWA Annual Awards for Excellence was established to recognise all aspects of staff performance such as excellence in client service, positive work ethic and strong personal commitment to achieve the best outcomes.
Denise Wellstead (Professionals Wellstead Team) won the “Residential Sales Person of the Year,” Vicky Knight (Professionals Property Plus Real Estate) won the “Residential Property Manager of the Year” and Julie Harold (Professionals Perth) won the “Corporate Support Person of the Year”
The REIWA citation for Denise Wellstead highlighted the fact that Denise set exceptional standards for trust, loyalty and leadership in the real estate profession. It also noted that as a veteran salesperson of nearly 20 years, Denise took on properties that were difficult to sell, using some ‘tough love’ on unrealistic sellers and insisting on greater price variations so that properties didn’t linger on the market.
Vicky Knight’s outstanding efforts in Property Management were recognised in her REIWA citation which stated – “This year’s winner impressed the judges with her relative newness to the profession which has been matched with great success – going from zero properties to 321 in a three year period. In addition to this, our winner has shown good initiative and has forged a working relationship with a prominent home builder that has resulted in a new client
base that can only grow. But in a real boost to the profession, this person has successfully converted many self-managed properties to her tender care and often through the referral from existing clients.”
Julie Harold’s REIWA citation for winning the Corporate Support Person of the Year award noted that she impressed the judges with her attitude, pride and empathy for clients which all work to make that vital first impression on potential clients.
As a result of winning these awards, Denise, Vicky and Julie will now represent Western Australia at the REIA National Awards for Excellence which will be held during the coming year.
David Hobbs, CEO of Professionals, said he was delighted that three women from Professionals had won awards at REIWA’s Annual Awards for Excellence. “On behalf of everyone involved in Professionals throughout Western Australia and the Northern Territory, I would like to congratulate Denise, Vicky and Julie for their outstanding achievement. Their collective awards reflect positively on Professionals and as they underline the high quality of staff that our group now employs throughout the State. In particular, I am very pleased that female members of Professionals took out these prestigious REIWA awards. Professionals have a strong commitment to employing women and encouraging their personal development in the group. As a result, a large number of women now hold senior management positions in Professionals offices throughout our group, he said.
